Qualifications

Each full-time employee of Northern Dutchess Christian School is a born-again Christian who is in full agreement with the doctrine of its host church, the Northern Dutchess Bible Church, as reflected in the school's statement of faith. School employees are not required to be members of Northern Dutchess Bible Church, but must regularly attend a church of like faith.

Our teachers endeavor to be exemplary Christian role models in every area of their lives, and share a sense of God’s leading to work in the Christian school. They strive to demonstrate relation-ships with students and parents that are Biblically-based, cooperative, and positive.

Teachers must have a college degree, which should be in education and/or the field in which he/she desires to teach. New York State or ACSI certification is desired, but not required. Lack of such certification should not discourage a candidate from applying to work at Northern Dutchess.

Compensation

Christian Education takes a very special calling and requires a spirit dedicated to serving God. Anyone desiring to work at Northern Dutchess, or any similar private Christian school, must believe they have a calling from God to serve in this ministry.

Northern Dutchess believes it has an obligation to fairly compensate its employees. All teachers receive a salary calculated according a regular scale which factors in experience, education, and certification.

Full-time employees may elect to receive a 50% reduction on health care premiums. Full-time employees with school-age children will receive a 60% discount on the cost of tuition at Northern Dutchess Christian School.
